Dr Tony Doherty is a male Veterinarian.
Dr Tony Doherty is a leading equine veterinarian on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. He has been providing veterinary care for horses for over 30 years having graduated from the University of Dublin in 1990 with an honours degree. He was admitted as a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in Equine Surgery in 2010.
After a brief time working in Ireland, he moved overseas to work in Asia and the Middle East, before moving to Australia with his family in 2002, to settle on the Sunshine Coast.
Throughout his career, Dr Doherty has been dedicated to providing the best possible care for his equine patients. He is well-known for his compassionate and attentive bedside manner, and his knowledge of equine anatomy and physiology is unparalleled. He is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of lameness and other orthopaedic conditions, as well as the treatment of infectious and metabolic diseases.
In addition to running his own practice, Dr Doherty is also an active member of the Australian Veterinary Association and Equine Veterinarians Australia. He regularly attends major continuing education events both in Australia and overseas to keep himself informed and up to date with the latest treatments and technology. He also officiates at race meetings held at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club.
