Dr Renee Pigdon is a female Veterinarian.
Dr Renee grew up nurturing lots of animals on a small farm near Yackandandah Victoria and graduated from the School of Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne in 1996.
Since graduating from Melbourne University in 1996, Dr Renee has a practicing veterinarian in Albury-Wodonga. She spent eleven years in mixed animal practice calving cows and visiting rural properties in the Albury-Wodonga area before developing a special interest in small animal medicine and surgery.
In 2003, Dr Renee was awarded membership to the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Surgeons for her advanced studies in Feline Medicine. In 2013, Dr Renee took over Dr Jana’s Veterinary centre in Wagga Road and re-named as Petfocus Vetcare in 2015 to better reflect the philosophy of the practice. In October 2018, Dr Renee’s goal to build a safe, modern species segregated hospital in Albury-Wodonga was achieved with the opening of the new Petfocus Vetcare clinic and hospital on Wagga Road and the closure of the old clinic.
In July 2019, Dr Renee was awarded Albury-Wodonga Business Person of the year for her courage in business and her commitment to pets of the Border. Petfocus Vetcare was also awarded Excellence in Innovation for the new species segregated clinic and hospital on Wagga Road.
