BVMS (Murdoch), Veterinarian
Dr Magda Upton is a female Veterinarian who speaks Polish (as well as English).
Dr Magda always wanted to be a vet, even drawing a picture of herself as one in a year 2 assignment. She graduated from Murdoch University in 2001. After working at several small animal clinics in Perth and Kalgoorlie, Dr Magda joined the Warwick Vet team in 2013 and hasn’t looked back!
Magda loves all aspects of being a small animal vet, from being in the consult room with clients, to working up complex medical cases and performing surgery. She is a self-confessed nerd and always strives to be on top of new knowledge. Her favourite aspect of working for Warwick is all the in-house diagnostic equipment she has at her disposal to work up her cases! Magda has spent time locuming at an overnight emergency clinic and at the Murdoch University Primary Care department to hone her skill set.
Magda was born in Poland, but migrated to Australia with her family when she was just three years old. She grew up in the outback towns of Laverton and Kalgoorlie, as well as spending a year in New Zealand, before settling back in Perth in 1993. Magda can still speak fluent Polish and is happy to provide vet services to clients of Polish descent.
