Dr Jess Smit is a female Veterinarian.

Hamilton Hill Vet Dr Jess is an experienced veterinary surgeon with a keen interest in emergency and critical care. Raised locally in Spearwood, she graduated from Murdoch University in 2001 and also passed her post-graduate membership exams in emergency and critical care medicine with the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 2007. She has completed courses in complex soft tissue surgical techniques, orthopaedic practical training in fracture repair, critical care procedures and advanced veterinary dental procedures including intraoral radiology.

Dr Jess worked for over 10 years as an intensive care unit (ICU) & emergency vet at two referral specialist centres in Australia. She also worked overseas in a very busy Singapore practice where she had the interesting opportunity to treat many unusual & exotic pets, such as red-eared terrapins, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas.

A strong believer of continuing professional development (CPD), Dr Jess avidly reads journals, textbooks, consults experts and researches her cases to give them the best possible outcomes.
