DVM (Syd), Veterinarian
Dr Jess McLeod is a female Veterinarian.
Jess grew up in Northern NSW on various mixed beef and sheep farms. Coming from a farming background, growing up surrounded by animals, Jess has always been drawn towards veterinary science. Starting out with a bachelors degree in Livestock Science from the University of New England in Armidale, Jess worked for several years in the livestock industry as a researcher, working with both private and government agencies in production animal research. One of her proudest achievements was working as team leader with a research group to register BarbarVax in Australia - the worlds first vaccine against worms in sheep.
Returning to study, Jess completed a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with the University of Sydney to become a registered veterinarian.
Relocating to Yass to be closer to family, Jess is looking forward to expanding her professional skill set, particularly in livestock work and small animal surgery.
