Dr James Macgregor is a male Veterinarian.
James has worked in rural mixed practice since 1995. After qualifying from Cambridge University in the UK, he worked in Yorkshire for 3½ years. He then came to northwest Tasmania in 1999 and, apart from a short time in the Highlands of Scotland to be near family, James has worked here ever since.
James is experienced in all aspects of the veterinary health care we provide at Ulverstone Veterinary Clinic. He is closely involved with our small animal medical cases and undertakes many of the more complex surgeries that we perform. James is also experienced with the health issues facing horses, dairy cattle, beef cattle and other livestock in our area.
Between 2011 and 2015, James undertook a PhD in platypus health which has seen him publish work on a range of veterinary topics including infectious disease, anaesthesia, clinical pathology and immunogenetics.
