BVSc (JCU), Veterinarian
Dr Jacinta Attard is a female Veterinarian.
Jacinta, fondly known as Jac, is the most recent addition to our team. Jac comes from a large family, being one of nine children born and bred on a cane farm in Queensland - but thankfully, it appears she prefers our cooler weather in Tasmania! After greatly enjoying some shorter stints working at our practice to help out when we had vets unwell or away, Jac moved down more permanently at the start of 2022 with her husband and two dogs - Vinnie and Delta (pictured here, along with Bess and Helen's dogs - Ollie and Lester). Jac has always had a strong love for animals, especially dogs and horses, and loves mixed-animal practice veterinary work. She studied at James Cook University in Townsville, graduating in 2018 (yes, in the same cohort as Bess!) before working for various mixed-animal practices in her hometown of Mackay. She is now enjoying being part of the rural community of Longford, especially hiking and running with Vinnie and Delta - in fact, you'll probably see the three of them running along with Bess and Ollie too! Jac is a wonderful cook and enjoys learning new cuisines. She also loves music - Jac has played the piano for more than 15 years, and is currently learning the guitar.
