Dr Dalton Nguyen is a male Veterinarian.
Dr Dalton Nguyen graduated from the University of Sydney (first class honours). Dalton started his early professional career at Colyton Vet Hospital. He then commenced a rotating internship at a specialist hospital in Eastern Sydney, focusing on small animal emergency, medicine and surgery. Dalton discovered his passion for surgery and accepted a surgical internship, spending the next couple of years focusing on soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. After spending 2.5 years in a specialist referral setting Dalton spent some time working as an emergency clinician prior to returning to general veterinary practice. His multidisciplinary experience has allowed him to become an all rounder veterinary diagnostician.
Dalton has completed multiple soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery qualifications. He continues to further his studies, and is also certified in small animal advanced CPR through the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. Dalton is a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, this credential requires the completion of a 5 hour examination and recognises advanced knowledge in the field of small animal surgery. He is one of the youngest veterinary surgeons to achieve this recognition. A couple of years later, Dalton completed a post-graduate qualification through The University of Melbourne (first class honours) and now holds a Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Abdominal Ultrasound. Dalton is currently working towards a european orthopaedic qualification.
He is actively involved in the treatment greyhound racing injuries and assists with preparing them for re-homing through the greyhound adoption program (GAP).
Dalton has also published papers in Australian and American journals.
