Dr Chris Papantonio is a male Veterinarian.
Dr Chris Papantonio graduated from Sydney University in 2005 and partnered in his first practice, Colyton Veterinary Hospital, by 2008.
Since then he has developed Colyton Veterinary Hospital with his team to what it is today.
Growing up, Chris assisted his parents in breeding and showing their Bull Terriers which is where his interest In veterinary science flourished.
He continually undertakes study to further himself in veterinary science and has completed his postgraduate exams in surgery, becoming a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 2017.
Chris has recently completed an Advanced Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery with the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies. For this course, Chris was required to undergo training with specialist surgeons in different parts of Europe and complete a series of case reports and finally an exam.
Chris has also completed a number of short courses in Australia, the UK, and Europe on Advanced Orthopaedics, Arthroscopy, Endoscopy, Laparoscopic Surgery, Spinal Surgery, Hip Surgery, and Computed Tomography (CT). He has also traveled to the USA to receive further training in reproductive medicine.
He has special interests in advanced surgery including soft tissue, orthopaedics, reconstructive, and minimally invasive surgery, as well as canine sports and reproductive medicine.
Chris is AQIS accredited with the Australian Government for animal export preparations.
