BVSc (Hons) (Qld), Veterinarian
Dr Brock Warren is a male Veterinarian.
Brock graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) in 2020. Brock’s inspiration for working with animals started at a young age, crediting the film “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” for igniting his passion. His interest for avian practice started here at BBV in 2014 when he took his grandmother and her sick zebra finch to see Dr Adrian. As was promised to him in 2014 by Dr Adrian, Brock completed a 2 week placement as a final year student at BBV in 2020. Since graduation, Brock has spent the last 9 months working in a small animal, avian and exotic practice in North Brisbane. Brock has aspirations to obtain his Avian Medicine & Surgery Membership qualification in the near future.
Although he has no current pets under his wing, he is keen to own a small flock of pigeons one day. Brock has ‘co-owned’ a large variety of family pets, currently “Uncle Brock” and veterinarian to his brothers golden retriever puppy “Rollo.” Most notable of the family pets to Brock was a Dutch black-check pigeon in his fathers 200+ flock of racing pigeons. Brock named him “Dragonzord,” after his favourite childhood Power Rangers character due to his striking black and green feathering. The sale of Dragonzord in 2019 was bittersweet for Brock. as his father was able to purchase a new $1,000 coffee machine from the sale. Away from the practice, you can expect to find Brock cheering on his favourite NFL team the Los Angeles Chargers, rockin’ out to Motley Crue, playing social touch football or enjoying a good book with a cup of tea.
